Season 19 All-Star Coverage

Season 19's All-Star game is upon us, let's take a look at who made the teams!

In the American League, the great Alberto Campos leads the way, making his 9th appearance, although it's his first with his new team, Pawtucket. Livan Espinoza of Little Rock is making his 7th appearance, the next most of the AL All-Stars.  New York led the way with 5 players making the team, with 12 different teams represented.  There were 13 first-time All-Stars in the AL.

In the National League, Jeremy Randall keeps adding to his Hall of Fame credentials, making his 10th All-Star appearance.  Other all-time great on the squad include Ivy Mench (9th appearance), Jimmie Soto (9th appearance), David Silva (8th appearance), Ernie Hines (7th appearance), and J.C. Ganzel (7th appearance).  What a group indeed, and impressive that 4 of the players are from Buffalo, who had the most All-Stars with 6, while the other two come from Honolulu.  11 different teams are represented on the NL squad, which includes 12 first-time All-Stars.

Season 19 Power Rankings #2

The regular season is half way over, so it's time to check in with another edition of the power rankings!  The top 2 remain the same as Honolulu keeps the top spot continuing their dominant play this season.  Buffalo remains a solid #2 and are still going strong.  New Britain tied Honolulu for the best record over the last 40 and comes in at #3, with New York and Tucson rounding out the top 5.  #14 Louisville gets an honorable mention for jumping 15 spots from #29 with a solid 25-15 record over the last 40.   Here are the rest of the biggest climbers, as well as the biggest falls!

Season 19 Power Rankings #1

Season 19 is well under way in Kenny Powers and it's time to check in with the first power rankings of the season!  And there's a new team at the top!  Honolulu claims the #1 spot with a hot start out of the gate, posting fantastic numbers all around, jumping all the way up from #8!   Buffalo and Syracuse hold on to the #2 and #3 spots respectively, while previous #1 New Britain falls to #4.  Salt Lake City holds on to their #5 spot to round out the top 5 teams.   While there wasn't a lot of movement in the top 5, some other teams did make some big jumps, while others took a bit of a tumble.  Here are the biggest climbers and the biggest falls.
